April 18, 2018
The capital city of Romania is the perfect location for a family holiday or just a short city break. Bucharest has something to offer for tourists of all ages. Here you can bask in the cultural and historical glow of the city, enjoy youth entertainment or the vivid nightlife.
Bucharest is not only about the impressive architecture, art galleries, museums, and theaters. It also has amazing parks and sights that appeal even to the youngest traveler.
The whole family will enjoy a trip to the old city center; just a short walk away from the Hotel Boutique Moxa. Here you can find everything, from clothing to toys, souvenirs, and restaurants with a varied menu. More than this, starting with spring and until late in the fall, there are concerts held in squares all over the city and in the parks.
An entire day can be spent sightseeing either by foot or with the hop of a bus. The starting point can be Casa Poporului (the House of the People), Izvor Park, the Opera House and then towards the north of the city, Antipa Museum, Kiseleff and Herastrau Park and The Romanian Peasant Museum.
For Booklovers, a Heaven on Earth
For the kids, a visit to the Carturesti Carousel is a fun experience. They can enjoy six floors and over 1000 square meters of books, music albums, and movies.
The Stirbei Palace in Buftea is a location commonly used for fairs and concerts in the summer and can be a great idea for a day spent outdoors. Here you can visit the palace and the surrounding gardens and admire the lake.
Quite close to Bucharest, the Comana Adventure Park is another location not to be missed when having a family holiday in the capital city. Comana Adventure Park is 38 km from Bucharest, and here you can have a barbeque, enjoy a boat ride, and go on a real adventure.
Also for those passionate about the outdoors, Baneasa forest or Snagov are good choices. Close to Bucharest, here you can enjoy the sun while having lunch in one of the multiple restaurants and even spend time at the pool.
And, The Largest Wellness and Relaxation Center in Europe
Since we’ve mentioned “pool,” we should also tell you about Therme, the indoor aquatic park. Therme is great for families because it provides an exotic island experience close to Bucharest and at reasonable prices. Therme hosts the most impressive botanic garden in Romania with over 1500 palm trees and many different types of orchids.
We hope to see you on your next trip to Bucharest -- and this time, bring the whole family!
